About

Rusty Tweed was born in Waterloo, Ontario Canada and grew up on his family’s horse farm.   Though his family heritage was in the financial world, his parent’s hobby and passion was breeding, raising and training Quarter Horses.  In fact Bob and Doreen, his parents originally met at a horse show as Bob rode in to a barrel racing competition.

Right up until Rusty was 17 he travelled Ontario with the family competing at Quarter Horse shows.   He pretty much spent his summers riding and training for horse competitions and his winter’s playing hockey.   He not only learned western style riding he also trained at a neighboring hunter and jumper operation with some of the best of Canada.   In fact his mentor also trained some of the Canadian Olympic team for jumping.

The Tweed’s are a multi-generational family in the financial world.  His Great Uncle, Sydney Tweed, founded Equitable Life of Canada https://www.equitable.ca/en/who-we-are/ and his Grandfather established a successful insurance brokerage CW Tweed & Son, Inc,  that his father ran well into his 80s also in Waterloo.

His interest in entrepreneurship developed at a tender age, starting his own snow removal service while still in high school and has been involved in multiple successful business ventures since then.

While there are many other investment opportunities, Rusty’s current focus is on assisting rental property owners in Souther California in doing 1031 exchanges into higher income generating real estate around the United States.
